Researchers at Amsterdam UMC have succeeded in helping patients with a serious hereditary disease get rid of their complaints by making a 'cut' in their DNA. All ten treated patients from this international study now live without medication. According to the researchers, this result also offers hope for future treatments of other hereditary diseases.
