The general secretary of the PP praises the regional president “for putting the interests of the Region before anything else”
The general secretary of the Popular Party, Cuca Gamarra, asked herself this Friday at the PP congress in the Region of Murcia “why Pedro Sánchez meets with Aragonés (president of the Generalitat of Catalonia) and does not do so with López Miras, to talk about water, financing and the Mar Menor».
The number two of Alberto Núñez Feijóo threw a cape to the Murcian leader, who is experiencing a turbulent congress after the absence of Patricia Fernández, the threat of impeachment by Manuel Durán and the calls for unity by Ramón Luis Valcárcel. “You have always put the interests of the Region of Murcia before anything else, that is why the Popular Party is grateful to you and is behind you,” said the secretary general.
“We are going to re-elect a great president, a great team and a great project that is going to focus on serving citizens. We are not here to resist, but to govern,” said Gamarra, who warned that the PP needs “to be stronger in the Region of Murcia in order to reach the Government of Spain.”
The general secretary joined the calls for unity after the congress. “From now on we have to work to earn the trust of citizens,” she said.
