A new game seems to be in development Crash Bandicoot, according to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, who revealed the news in the latest episode of Xbox Chaturdays. The insider and reporter hinted that the game could make an appearance at the upcoming Xbox Showcase.
In the video below (starting at 1:29:08), Corden states that the new Crash Bandicoot will be something of a multiplayer title for four players, hinting at a new Crash Bash.
“I think we might see another Crash Bandicoot“Corden said.”It won’t just be a new Crash Bandicoot, it will be a multiplayer Crash Bandicoot. It’s almost a four player brawler, but Crash oriented“.
This sounds like great news for fans who were disappointed after news surfaced last April that virtually all of Activision’s developers, including Toys for Bob, had turned into a support studio for Call of Duty. The team, who successfully resurrected the Crash Bandicoot franchise, is tasked with working on Warzone. However, job announcements that surfaced last December suggested Toys for Bob was also working on projects other than Call of Duty.
Regarding the question of whether or not the new Crash Bandicoot will arrive on the PlayStation platforms, considering that the development seems to be already underway before the closing of the agreement between Microsoft and Activsision, it is likely that the game will be cross-platform, albeit with some advantages. for Xbox owners, like launching on Game Pass on day one.
