Contagions in decline in Switzerland where, in the last 24 hours, there have been 29,144 infections, 11 deaths and 141 hospitalizationsaccording to data published by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Exactly one week ago, the bulletin recorded 41,175 infections (12,031 more), 23 deaths and 218 hospitalizations.
Over the last 24 hours, the results of 86,096 tests have been transmitted, with a positive rate of 33.9%, compared to 36.8% last week. The reproduction rate, which is about ten days behind the other data, stands at 0.92. The Omicron variant accounts for 98.1% of cases. In the last 28 days, the total number of infections is 862,505, or 9,903.2 per 100,000 inhabitants. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 2,489,008 cases of covid-19 and 12,497 deaths in Switzerland. In Ticino there are 998 new positive people and two deaths are recorded. In the Grisons the infected were instead 861, in this case without any deaths.
In total, 68.52% of Swiss people have already received two doses of the vaccine. Among the population over 12, the share rises to 77.84%. In addition, 75.09% of people over 65 and 40.50% of the population received the so-called booster.
