(yesterday 214), for a total of 155,399 victims from February 2020.
People recovered or discharged they are altogether 11.713.645 And 62,551 those that have become negative in the last 24 hours (yesterday 49,352). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 1,041,462equal to -20.148 compared to yesterday (-11,620 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 431.312, or 16,024 more than yesterday when it was 415,288. The positivity rate rises to 9.6% (the approximation of 9.62%); yesterday it was 8.8%.
More infections in 24 hours than yesterday. The curve flexes, it hasn’t moved down, as it usually does on Thursdays, for two months now. Last Thursday they were registered +46,169 cases with a 9.5% rate and today we have a similar percentage: this suggests that we are moving towards a high plateau situation. And you can see it, a probable plateau, by observing the graph of the curve. But it will be better understood later.
The reduction of all parameters – for the fifth consecutive week – highlighted by Gimbe Foundation monitoring on a weekly basis (23 February-1 March): -21.1% in new cases compared to the week before, -18.6% in deaths, -20% in hospitalizations and -21% in intensive care.
March 31stthe end of the state of emergency, will be the symbolic date of the end of the acute phase of the pandemic and of the newfound normality, underlines the undersecretary of health Pierpaolo Sileri, to the microphones of Italy wakes up on radio Cusano Campus. Adding that the stop of the masks indoors from after Easter (mid-April) is being evaluated.
Three regions with more than 4,000 newly infected: Lazio (+4.771 cases), Sicily (+4.411 cases, with previous ones as indicated in the note) and Lombardy (+4.386 cases).
The victims
There are 185 victims in the bulletin against 214 yesterday, taking into account that every day in this data are included previous deaths from Campania and Sicily – plus one from Abruzzo – as shown in the notes. There are two regions / provinces with zero bereavement: it is Umbria and the province of Bolzano. While the highest number of deaths in Lombardy (35).
The health system
Hospital stays continue to decrease in every area. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -355 (yesterday -502), for a total of 9,599 hospitalized. The beds occupied in intensive care (TI) are -27 (yesterday -27) – this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered ICU -, bringing the total of the most seriously ill patients to 654with 52 admissions to resuscitation (yesterday 40).

The Abruzzo Region reports that 19 cases were eliminated from the total of positives as: 1 non-patient Covid and 18 duplicates; Furthermore of the deaths reported today a case that occurred in recent days.
The Campania Region reports that 7 deaths recorded today date back to a period between 01/17 and 02/24/2022.
The Emilia-Romagna Region declares that 1 case communicated in the previous days has been eliminated as it is not considered a COVID-19 case.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region announces that the total number of positive cases was reduced by 4 following 1 negative molecular swab after positive antigen test and following 3 positive tests removed after reviewing the cases.
The Region of Sicily reports that dei confirmed cases communicated today, n. 1112 are relative to previous days to 01/03/22 (of which: n. 870 of 01/03/22 – n. 137 of 28/02/22 – n. 5 of 27/02/22 – n. 10 of 26/02/22 and no. 14 of 25/02/22); in addition, the deaths reported today are to be attributed to the following days: N. 5 ON 02/03/2022 – N. 8 ON 01/03/2022 – N. 1 ON 02/28/2022 – N. 1 ON 02/25/2022 – N. 1 ON 02/03/2022 – N. 1 ON 12/24/2021 – N. 1 ON 12/21/2021.
