Europe is close to returning to a life close to normality. Several countries are announcing the relaxation of measures to combat the pandemic. What has contributed to this new attitude are the high vaccination rates in several European countries and the mild symptoms caused by Ômicron.

The international press reveals that Germany is one of the European countries that will ease the restrictions in force. Most of the measures will be reduced in three stages until March 20, as evidenced by a proposal that Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s office prepared for the meeting with the leaders of German states.
Austria and Switzerland are planning similar steps. The Netherlands has announced that it will ease restrictions on people and businesses from next Friday. France, which took the path earlier to ease the restrictive measures, intends to take a bigger step towards normality.
This Wednesday (16), the French Minister of Health, Olivier Veran, said that the government can reduce the requirements for the use of a mask and proof of vaccination as early as the middle of next month.
This Thursday (17), Portugal can also follow a similar path. The Government must announce new measures and the country may also make progress in the fight against the pandemic.
