Monterrey, Nuevo León.- A man and a woman died this morning pressed inside the vehicle in which they were traveling after the unit was hit from behind by a truck, on the upper part of the bridge of the Garza Sada Avenue and Alfonso Reyes, in the south of Monterrey.

The couple backed up trying to circumvent the operation, so a Jeep truck traveling in the same direction hit them from behind, throwing the Sentra against the retaining wall on the right side of the bridge.
According to reports from Civil Protection and the Red Cross, the events were reported at 2:15 a.m. in traffic from north to south of Sada Heron.

The young people who died were not identified at the scene.. The man was approximately 25 years old, had a pearly complexion, a slim build, short black hair and was wearing a black jacket.
While her companion was also a woman of approximately 25 years of age, with white skin, a thin complexion, curly black hair, who was wearing a beige blouse with aqua letters on the chest.
The driver of the Jeep truck was identified as Abraham Castillo Yip, 37, who was unharmed and was taken for a medical opinion to determine if he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
For more than two hours, the rescue teams as well as experts from the Institute of Criminalistics and Expert Services of the Justice Prosecutor’s Office worked in the area, freeing the bodies and collecting evidence.
Until 8:00 in the morning, Monterrey Transit kept the Garza Sada road closed to the south on the lanes of the upper part of the bridge at the intersection with Alfonso Reyes.
The municipal authorities keep the side lanes open so that drivers take the alternate routes through Alfonso Reyes, east towards Revolution and west towards Lázaro Cárdenas.
Motorists were urged to take precautions when driving, respect road closures and leave early for their destination if they plan to head south of the city.
The Monterrey Traffic officers maintain the operation in the area until the corresponding authorities allow them to open the road.
