3R Petroleum recorded this Saturday, the 20th, a fire breaking out in an area of the Guamaré Industrial Asset, in Rio Grande do Norte. The site includes natural gas processing units (UPGNs), oil treatment station (ETO), effluent treatment station (ETE), the Clara Camarão refinery and the Guamaré Waterway Terminal.
In a statement, 3R Petroleum said that the fire was “promptly put out by the operational emergency brigade team” and that “there were no impacts on people or the environment”. He also said that the incident will be investigated by the company's security department.
The company did not inform which part of the Industrial Asset was affected by the fire.
The Guamaré Industrial Asset belonged to Petrobras, but since June last year it has been controlled by 3R, which purchased the state-owned company's stake in 20 concessions of onshore and shallow water production fields and the facilities integrated in the Potiguar Pole.
