More than 1.4 thousand objects were surveyed to determine plans for the restoration of housing and infrastructure in Mariupol. This was reported in the Ministry of Construction.
“Now repair and restoration work is underway at 189 residential buildings and 57 social infrastructure facilities. In addition, 26 new apartment buildings are being built in the city,” the department said.
According to the Ministry of Construction, healthcare and education facilities are also being restored. Currently, 31 medical institutions, 29 kindergartens and 24 schools are being renovated. Within three years, it is planned to build another 30 kindergartens, 14 schools and 5 clinics, they said.
“Russian departments, regions and contracting organizations are actively working to return the city to peaceful life as soon as possible. Today, more than 14 thousand Russian specialists are involved in the restoration and construction work in Mariupol. From the side of the Russian Federation, about 1.5 thousand pieces of equipment have been mobilized to the city,” the Ministry of Construction reported.
Earlier, the concept of a master plan for the development of the city was approved by decree of the head of the DPR. Among the priority tasks, the document defines the restoration of individual housing, apartment buildings and supporting infrastructure. Territories will also be improved and places of application of labor will be formed, which will allow creating new jobs.
