Congress votes on Tuesday if the Government urges to end the nuclear closure

The Congress of Deputies will vote next Tuesday a non -law proposition of the Popular Party to prolong the useful life of the nuclear.

The text of the same claims that the economic sustainability of the facilities is facilitated so that it reflects their fundamental role in the energy transition, in the guarantee of supply, its contribution to the reduction of the prices of the electricity market and of the gas emissions greenhouse effect.

For this, the popular ones propose that reports be requested from the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) and in which the economic impact of the programmed nuclear closure is evaluated, as well as the implications for the supply.

At the moment, the looks remain attentive to the Extremadura socialist deputies, since some such as César Ramos or Juan Antonio González have spoken in the past in favor of the prolongation of the life of the Almaraz nuclear power plant.

Maribel García and Emilia Almodóvar have not ruled openly on the matter. The government, however, is determined to move forward with the closing calendar since no company has asked to remain.
