CONAGUA reveals list of states in danger zone due to the impact of a hurricane this 2024

According to the forecast of the National Water Commission (WITH WATER), It is expected that Mexico experience five impacts from cyclonic events during the rain season hurricanes 2024, a figure slightly lower than the average of eight impacts recorded in the last three years.

The states most likely to be impacted by a hurricane or tropical storm are:

Baja California
Quintana Roo
Sinaloa
Veracruz

Baja California It is the state that is positioned this 2024 with the greatest possibilities of impact, as revealed by the CONAGUA coordinator in a press conference.

It has been reported that the cyclones, tropical storms and hurricanes All over the world are being affected by the impact of climate change, making them more destructive.

During the press conference where the forecasts for the rainy season and hurricanes in Mexico, which officially begins on May 15, it was reported that of the 5 cyclonic events expected this season, not all are hurricanescould reach Mexico in the form of tropical storms.

For this year, the formation of between 15 and 18 cyclonic events is expected in the Pacific, and 20 to 23 in the Atlantic. In this last forecast it was highlighted that the impact of 2 of them is expected in the Gulf of Mexico area and The Caribbean Sea.
