A climate activist damaging an electric car sounds like a Hamilton fan shouting from the rooftops that Michael Masi is a great race director. Yet a Tesla Model Y was attacked by environmental activists in Clifton, England. The group Tire Extinguishers, which in good Dutch means 'Tire Extinguishers', punctured the tires of the electric SUV.
Where Marv and Harry are in Home Alone basements filled with water, the Tire Extinguishers leave a note with each victim. The A4 sheet starts with a warning. 'ATTENTION: Your gas guzzler kills!' it can be read next to a drawing of an SUV with a line through it. They also stuck that note under the windshield wiper of the electric Tesla.
The owner of the Model Y doesn't understand it. He tells the BBC: 'It's ironic because I'm trying to do the right thing by buying an electric car. It's ridiculous and awkward. I understand why [klimaatactivisme red.] happens, but I don't see the point in this.' According to the environmental group, the point is not in the drive of the car.
Why climate activists mutilate a Tesla
Tire Extinguishers is against SUVs and 4×4. According to the tire pushers, the large cars are 'a climate disaster', 'dangerous', 'unnecessary' and they 'cause air pollution'. Apparently they don't have a better solution than attacking the cars and letting air out of the tires. The group was previously active where 200 SUVs were already processed in the Netherlands and in Brussels and Ghent.
