Clear the stage for the new Alfa Romeo Milano

DThe new Alfa Romeo Milano celebrates its world premiere in Milan. The 4.17 meter long compact SUV is Alfa's fourth model and the brand's first to be fully electric. The design of the chic city crossover is not only intended to make the hearts of convinced Alfisti beat faster.

The Alfa Milano Elettrica shares drive technology with its battery-electric company brothers such as the Fiat 600e or the Jeep Avenger. This means: a 156 hp electric motor drives the front wheels, the 54 kWh battery should enable an electric range of up to 410 kilometers according to WLTP with a power consumption of 15.0 to 15.6 kWh per 100 kilometers.

With the Milano Elletrica Veloce, a second, 240 hp variant with sports suspension and lowering by 25 millimeters will follow later. When it launches in late summer, the Alfa Romeo Milano will also be available as an Ibrida with a 136 hp 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine and 48-volt mild hybrid system.

A hybrid version with all-wheel drive will also be available at the end of the year. There are no exact prices yet, the starting price for the Milano mild hybrid is said to be under 30,000 euros and that of the fully electric model under 40,000 euros. Alfa promises a decidedly sporty driving behavior for the Milano. The engineering team responsible also developed the chassis of the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car.
