The next head of Government thanked the citizens for their massive participation, which exceeded 70 percent of the list of voters, reflecting the enthusiasm and hope placed in her candidacy.
In his speech, Clara Brugada highlighted the historical importance of her victory and that of Claudia Sheinbaum, who became the first woman to be elected President of Mexico. “The people of Mexico City won,” said the former mayor of Iztapalapa, emphasizing that citizens have decided to continue with the political and social transformation in the capital.
