The New ë-Jumper – 100% ëlectric from Citroën is about to arrive at the dealership: by the end of the year we will be able to buy this new electric van, the price of which has not yet been revealed.
This is a compact van, a commercial vehicle ideal to use for city transport as it is with zero emissions and has a clear path in limited traffic areas (ZTL): this is the third commercial vehicle powered by an electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery that the French company launches in 2020. It goes alongside the small van ë-Jumpy and the minivan ë-SpaceTourer.
In 2021, with the introduction of the expected ë-Berlingo Van between heavy vans, all segments of the Citroën commercial range, transport of goods and transport of people, will have a battery version with an electric motor.
Features ë-Electric jumper
On the new ë-Jumper – 100% electric are available two levels of autonomy, 200 km or 340 km (WLTP cycle) depending on the lithium-ion battery that can be of 37 kWh or 70 kWh. The traction battery, assembled by partner BEDEO, is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km up to 70% of the charging capacity compared to the original one. Charging takes place in 220 Volt alternating current or with fast DC charging at 80% in 45 minutes.
The gearbox, of course, is automatic and the braking or deceleration energy is recovered. New one ë-Jumper it features a variable gear ratio that facilitates driving and optimizes efficiency by increasing range. The heart is the 120 horsepower electric motor and 260 Nm of maximum torque, for a top speed of 110 km / h.
Jumper electric van sizes and fittings
Four lengths (L1 4.963 m, L2 5.413 m, L3 5.998 m and L4 6.363 m), three heights And three steps (L1 3m, L2 3,450m, L3 and L4 4,035m) available for the new ë-Jumper. Payload up to 1,890 kg (on the chassis version) e loading volume up to 17 m3.
The configurations are always van, single or double cab chassis and flatbed. Two set-ups for van and flatbed cabin cruiser (Comfort and Club), with numerous equipment for different types of use. It is ideal for the worksite because it has raised suspensions, an increased payload, a protective bulkhead under the engine and anti-slip Grip Control. Great for deliveries inlast mile in city due to its greater agility and ease of use.
Electric jumper what changes
Basically, the electric compact van ë-Jumper, offers the same features as the version with traditional motors Jumper in terms of size, volume and payload but also in terms of design.
On the outside, in fact, the electric version is identical, it is distinguished only by the logo ë on the front, on the right rear door and on the front fenders. The power hatch is located on the left front fender, as in the thermal version.
ë-Electric jumper how to recharge
To quickly reload the Jumper electric just connect it for 45 minutes to a fast-charging Wallbox (3.7 to 22 kW) with type 3 cable (supplied as standard). Super fast charging can take place through a public station up to 50 kW in DC with a type 4 cable capable of recharging 80% of the 2 batteries in one hour.
All useful information, from the battery charge level to the actual level of use (but also the gear engaged) on board are displayed on the dashboard display. In 9-inch central touchscreen the infotainment system is controlled with navigation (optional) and entertainment.
Driver assistance devices on the Citroen van
There are nine driving assistance systems that equip theë-Jumper Citroen’s electric van: active Safety Brake, hill Start Assist, Attention Alert driver, Hill Descent Control, Intelligent Traction Control.
Then there are the reversing camera with Top Rear Vision, automatic switching of high beams, recognition of speed limits and speed limiter. The blind spot surveillance and warning system, on the other hand, monitors oncoming rear traffic to the left and right within a radius of 50 m.
The active safety of the electric van
Regarding the security systems on the electric van Citroën we find the low tire pressure detector, passenger and side airbags (optional) and emergency braking system. Deadlock disables the functionality of the internal handles. Automatic front wipers and LED DRL headlights (optional).

The prices of the Citroën ë-Jumper electric van start at 57,900 euros, VAT excluded. The prices of the chassis cab version start from 62,630 euros while that flat costs 63,530 euros.
