The crew made up of Luca Magnoni and Alberto Lippi, who today made official their participation in the 2022 Italian GT Championship at the wheel of the Honda NSX GT3 of the Nova Race, is a very specific goal.
The drivers of the Vicenza team will take part in the Sprint and the Endurance with the intent of winning both series in the GT3 AM class, thus allowing Magnoni to extend the trail of successes after the Endurance GT4 AM title in 2020 and GT3 AM last year. year.
The two drivers had already raced together last year in the Italian stage of the International GT Open and, evidently, the test had a positive result in the composition of the 2022 line up, as explained by Team Manager Christian Pescatori.
“Luca Magnoni and Alberto Lippi at their Monza debut immediately proved to be a well-matched duo, and this season they will compete in both the Italian GT3 Sprint and Endurance Championships. In this latest series, whose calendar starts after the Sprint, we still have some time to decide who will be the third driver who will be at their side in the planned trips “, says Pescatori.
Happy about his new colleague is Magnoni: “I am happy to do both Sprint and Endurance seasons with Alberto Lippi, he is a good gentleman, a very nice person with whom we will have fun even off the track and I think that together we can aspire to the Italian GT3 Am titles. . “
His team-mate from Vicenza, who moved to a permanent basis at the wheel of the Japanese GT3 after having gained a lot of experience especially with Prancing Horse models, is preparing well in this winter phase, with tests already carried out in Monza, Misano and Cremona and others that await him, and he is positive about the prospects for the upcoming season. “I am happy to renew last year’s experience in the Open with Nova Race – declared Lippi – with Magnoni we will try to win our championships; for now I have taken part in GT races for half an hour, the longer ones will be a new experience for me. “
