Chris Pratt talks about possible Nintendo movie universe

The last day of Mario interesting things were announced, such as release dates for expected titles from switch and even the arrival of classics online, although for many what mattered most was the revelation that the second film in the franchise is already in production. With this in mind, fans are wondering if the actors who voice the characters have anything to say about it, specifically the protagonist of the story, Chris Pratt.

Through a new interview that the actor had with the media Games Radarjournalists have tried to get information from him about what this second film from the world of Marioto which he has remained totally silent about details that could possibly bring him problems with Illumination and Nintendo. So he dodged the questions and talked about what perhaps could be a cinematic universe of this brand, since they have many franchises in their catalog.

Here what he said:

I can’t tell you much, but I can say that another Mario movie is coming. I’m very excited to think about the world of Mario and Nintendo in general. I think over the next decade we’ll see a lot of stories coming out of that world. I felt excited, honored, and blessed to be a part of the first one, and from now on, I’m open to doing whatever they want from me. I can’t say much, but I’m as excited as everyone else.

Something that is worth remembering is that in parallel sony is working on a movie Zeldawhich would be different from Mariosince it is not going to be a CGI interpretation of the adventures of Link and company, but is taking the path of live action. There are not too many details about the latter, nothing beyond who will be the producer and the scriptwriter, but there is no planned release date and even less a first look in the form of a trailer.

The second film of Mario will release the April 6, 2026.
