At 'Corriere della Sera' Chiara Ferragni answered many questions and also revealed some sensations that the public did not know.
After a long silence, Chiara Ferragni gave a very interesting interview following the controversy linked to the “Balocco case”. However, the interview precedes the rumors about the separation between her and her husband Fedez. There is no shortage of food for thought that helps us understand the moment of crisis in the Ferragnez household.
In the exchange that took place with the 'Corriere della sera', the influencer recounts the events since 15 December, the day in which the Antitrust sanctioned two of his companies and Balocco. It was an investigation initiated to verify the “unfair commercial practice” implemented for the pandoro-gate. The influencer, then, was shocked by the news, practically learning it together with the public. Chiara Ferragni says:
It was Friday, I also spent Saturday and Sunday locked in the house, wearing the same tracksuit, reading tweets about myself and saying: what the hell is happening?
Chiara Ferragni has subsequently recorded a video, for some critics oriented towards victimism, to try to demonstrate his and his team's good faith. As expected, the video known to all did not change the attitude of the haters. The entrepreneur then decided to donate one million euros received by his companies at the Regina Margherita Hospital and face the sanctions with an appeal to the TAR.
I was shaken and after several attempts I posted the video and I did my best to hold back the tears because I didn't want to play the victim. I said to myself: people expect something from me. I had to apologize, because, if there had been misunderstandings, it means that something could have been done better. I also said that I would never again do operations that mixed advertising and charity.
Talking about thecommunication error in the video, Chiara Ferragni recognizes that it was not the right time, but the situation had quickly become bigger than the initial controversy. The media pillory has become a mud machine, but the influencer highlighted the support she has received.
When you are in a media pillory, it seems that all the people are accusing you, however, all you have to do is leave the house for a moment to realize that this is not the case. In fact, I've never met anyone who told me 'you're a criminal', but only people who told me: 'it's an injustice, you'll come out of this with your head held high'.
Also speaking about future charitable activities, Chiara Ferragni said she understood that some internal processes could be managed better. Indeed, the influencer certainly states that he needs to improve various aspects of the organization. She defends her combining operations, however commercial and charitable aspects, as it often happens. There are several past examples with important positive results, such as during the pandemic.
Ferragni clarifies his involvement in the various cases which have seen a turnover andmarketing operation reported and accused. They range from pandoros to Easter eggs:
These operations represented a small percentage of our turnover. I don't understand how a criminal plan can be hypothesized: if that were the case, most of the turnover would have to depend on these activities. Fortunately, if there is a positive effect of this affair, it is that we now have a Charity Bill or Ferragni Bill with which everything will be clearer. If it had been there before, we would have written on the scroll 'Ferragni and Balocco support the Regina Margherita with a donation of 50 thousand euros made by Balocco'. Nobody could have said anything and we were honored anyway.
On her audience and her work, consider the criticisms that paint her as “a showcase”, one professional of the ephemeralChiara Ferragni responds decisively:
What I do is very concrete, far from ephemeral. I have a company that produces and sells clothing, footwear, make up, jewelry. I don't just promote other people's products. […] I don't know if mine is a job that I will do for the rest of my life or if I will want to tell my life story forever. I know I like to communicate. At 16, in Cremona, I took a self-portrait, I wanted to understand myself through a photo. And there was always the idea of sharing those photos with the world and seeing what they thought of them, good or bad.
