Monterrey.- In a duel between Mexicans, Tigres defeated Pachuca 1-0 in Austin and qualified for the Round of 16 of the Leagues Cup.
The felines won with a goal from Marcelo Flores in the second half.
Although the Tuzos started with more danger in Nahuel Guzmán’s goal, the forcefulness was not on the side of the Hidalgo team and “Patón”, in the 18th minute, saved his team after a shot to the near post by Salomón Rondón that the Argentine saved with his right leg.

The time passed between changes, fouls and yellow cards, but little activity in the goals, especially in Guzmán’s, who did not worry in the second half.
Almada decided to give playing time to youngsters like Alan Bautista, Gael Álvarez and Sergio De los Ríos and leave players like Ángel Mena and Alfonso González on the bench.
Without any surprises, Tigres got through the final minutes and made it to the Round of 16 of the Leagues Cup, where they await the winner of New England Revolution and New York City.
