Incredible death in the world of music: guitarist Charlie Colin slipped in the shower and help was of no avail

The musician’s mother disclosed the news through the site TMZ, explaining that Colin lost his life in a domestic accident while at a friend’s house in Belgium. He was 58 years old.
Charlie Colin’s career with i Train was marked by successes and recognition. After studying at Berklee College in Boston, Colin met the other members of the band Train in San Francisco with whom he formed the group in 1993: Pat Monahan singer, Rob Hotchskiss drummer, Jimmy Stafford guitarist and Scott Underwood drummer. However, in 2003 Charlie Colin had to say goodbye to Train due to problems related to drug addiction. Singer Pat Monahan said the situation had become untenable for all members of the band and that he called a meeting to decide between him and Colin.
“He’s an incredible bass player, but he was in a lot of pain, and the way he dealt with the situation was very painful for everyone else around him.”

The latter explained that there were many reasons that led him to make this decision, but that addiction played a fundamental role. In recent years, Colin had moved to Brussels where he taught music at the conservatory and worked on a film soundtrack.
