Champions League | Bayern Munich knocked PSG’s star team out of the Champions League

Germany’s football powerhouse Bayern Munich beat PSG at home 2–0 on Wednesday night and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Champions League with 3–0 on aggregate.

PSG was not completely without chances in the second leg, even though Bayern played strongly.

The best place in the first half was opened by PSG To Vitinhawho received the ball like a gift from the goalkeeper by Yann Sommer after fooling around and was able to shoot towards an empty goal. Bayern defender Matthijs de Ligt however, rushed to save his team from a setback.

The second half started at the pace of the home team. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting poked the ball into PSG’s goal, but the shot was disallowed because Thomas Müller tried to reach for the ball in an offside position.

After just over an hour, Choupo-Moting scored a hit that went down in history. Müller snatched the ball From Marco Verratti, Leon Goretzka passed to the goal, and Choupo-Moting made no mistake from the open space.

PSG was the closest to a narrowing goal Sergio Ramos, who was able to score twice from the ensuing corner kick. The first time goalkeeper Sommer made a great save, the second narrowly missed Bayern’s goal.

PSG’s rumbling stopped once and for all in the last moments of the match. The home team that entered the field from the substitution Sergi Gnabry finished the job with a skillful finish at the end of the counterattack.

Evening in the second match of the quarterfinals, Milan played a 0-0 draw as a guest of Tottenham in London and progressed to the next round with 1-0 on aggregate.

In the final moments of the match, two top places were seen. Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan fended off Tottenham Harry Kane at the end of the punt and the subsequent counterattack by Milan Divock Origi hit the post.

Tottenham’s dark evening was underlined by a hard-nosed defender Cristian Romero sent off in the 77th minute.
