The justice sought by Alejandro E.’s family was delayed once again with the appointment of a new defense attorney for the woman who allegedly paid five thousand pesos to have him stabbed on the night of August 13, 2021.
The hearing on whether Ana Belem RQ should be prosecuted or not was postponed until today at 11:30 in the morning, despite the fact that it was scheduled for yesterday at 9:00 hours, in addition to the fact that an incident had already occurred that delayed the initial session last Thursday due to the excuse of a control judge due to a possible conflict of interest with one of the defense attorneys, who was dismissed yesterday morning.
The woman was arrested on July 31, almost three years after the attack she is accused of, and the family’s demands for the Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue the investigation. There was discrimination because the man also reported domestic violence perpetrated by her, Alejandro’s family accused.
The facts stated are that around 11:00 p.m. on August 13, 2021, Ana Belem asked her partner to help her change a tire, as it had a flat tire while she was driving on a dirt road on the way to her mother’s house.
Upon arriving at the scene, Alejandro noticed the tire had been destroyed, but apparently had been stabbed, and proceeded to change it. Almost as he finished putting on the last nut, he heard the accused say “there it is” and immediately felt his back hot from the stab wounds he had received from three people, who then fled.
A couple who passed by the site called 911 for assistance. The Municipal Police arrived at the scene to assist with the transfer to a nearby public hospital.
