The Villorba Corse roster has been completely renewed for the 2024 campaign in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia. And two rookies and a gentleman driver will be part of it, with the team which will therefore be at the start on all fronts of the prestigious Porsche Italia series and has increased the number of Porsche 911 GT3 Cups lined up to three (compared to two last year). in partnership with the Porsche Center Treviso.
This increases the presence and involvement of the two Venetian companies in the most coveted national single-brand championship after having finished as vice-champions among the teams and third in the drivers' standings with Riccardo Agostini at the end of last season.
The three standard bearers of Villorba Corse – Centro Porsche Treviso, very different in terms of experiences and backgrounds, are the new and young Steven Giacon and Nicholas Pujatti and the Romanian driver Horia-Traian Chirigut, who with the team participated in a stage of the Carrera Cup Italia already last year in Monza.
Giacon and Pujatti will be making their debut in the championship and given their young age they will both be included in the Scholarship Programme, the coaching project that Porsche Italia reserves for under 23s.
Steven Giacon it will be its first season in the 911 GT3 Cup single-make series but also in Gran Turismo in general. Born in 2003, the driver from Padua comes from a family that boasts a solid “racing” tradition (among other things, his older brother Jonathan participated in the Carrera Cup Italia in 2017) and from touring racing, where he boasts several appearances in the TCR and is coming off a top season in the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italia.
Nicholas, born in Pordenone in 2007 and 16 years old last December 13th Pujattialready announced in December, comes from the world of karting and after a series of tests carried out with Villorba Corse it is now ready for its debut in car racing: for him 2024 in the Carrera Cup Italia represents the season that will mark the beginning of his automotive career.
Horia-Traian Chiriguta Romanian driver with experience mostly in tourism, as mentioned is not a completely new protagonist with the colors of Villorba Corse and will be the first standard bearer of the team registered for an entire season among the contenders of the Michelin Cup, the category reserved for amateur drivers or semi-professionals over 30.

The team's objective is to make available the best know-how and maximum technical and sporting commitment to allow all our standard bearers to improve and perform well in a championship which is characterized by its high competitive level and which sees more and more rookie at the start”.
The 2024 Carrera Cup Italia is divided into six rounds (each weekend with two races of 30 minutes + 1 lap) and after the debut on 3-5 May in Misano it will touch the circuits of Imola, Mugello, again Imola and Vallelunga to conclude on October 6th in Monza. Prologue 2024 will be the official test scheduled in Imola on April 11th.
