Carrefour earlier this month announced a price freeze on all its own-brand items until December 10th.
The idea is to “reaffirm its commitment to Brazilians in this economic moment that has been directly affecting people’s income and food”, according to a statement from the Carrefour Brasil Group.

The prices will be fixed for the products of the following brands: Carrefour, Viver, Carrefour Bio, Veggie, Mercado, Classic, Taste & Quality, Selection, Soft, Men, My Baby, Essential, Expert, Home, Companino, Care and Original.
These brands cover industrialized products and include items such as pasta, milk, bread, diapers, rice, beans, eggs, meat, fruits, vegetables and vegetables.

We know how delicate this moment is for everyone and, therefore, we continue to work tirelessly so that our customers can have access to quality products at an affordable price”, says Joaquim Souza, commercial director of Carrefour Brasil, in a note.
