Capcom recently sent out a survey to fansin which ten questions are asked, some of which center on potential new episodes (or remakes) for old Capcom IPs inactive. One question asks, “Is there any Capcom game series (including spinoffs) that you would like to see a sequel or new game for?” Among the many franchises listed, some are notable Dino CrisisOnimusha, Okami, Dead Rising, Darkstalkers, Breath of Fire and Lost Planet.
Another question asks, “Is there a game you would like to see completely recreated with the latest technologiesincluding character design and story direction?”. Some of the available options include Onimusha 1, 2 and 3; Ace Attorney 1, 2 and 3; Breath of Fire 1, 2 and 3; Mega Man 1, 2 and 3 ; Final Fight.
Online fans are obviously already trying to push people to attend the survey, which you can find hereto ensure that they vote for the most desired games.
The complaints about Capcom
It is interesting to note that the penultimate question of the survey asks you to express any complaints to the company, and one of the options provided is “reboot old IPs as soon as possible!”. At the same time, another option reads “publish more original titles, not sequels!”.
Sometimes companies' surveys are cryptic, but in this case it seems that Capcom wants to test the waters for its future projects. What are your wishes?
