The night of this May 31 was marked by tragedy. Gregorio Dorantes Córdova, Morena candidate to the mayor’s office Hidalgo, Tamaulipasdied after falling on a palm tree above.
The unfortunate event occurred when the Morena candidate was holding a meeting with party collaborators, at that moment a storm began, which is why the staff decided to end the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
Officially, it was announced that at the time of leaving the meeting, strong winds were recorded which caused a palm tree fell on top of the candidate.
After the unfortunate event, Gregorio Dorantes Córdova was rushed to a hospital, but died moments before arriving at the hospital.
