Cajamar Innova, the Cajamar Technology Base Companies, launches a triple call for projects related to efficient water management, agricultural production technologies and, for the first time, for the first time, Startups specialized in new food technologies.
The candidacies can occur through the web www.platformatierra.es/startupswhere interested parties have access to the requirements and bases of each category, as well as the criteria and the proposal selection procedure. The application deadline will remain open from March 24 to April 23 for the ‘Agrotech’ call; Until April 30 in the case of water, and until May 7 for the ‘foodtech’.
Cajamar’s business impulse programs are born in 2018 with Cajamar Innova Agua, with the aim of facilitating entrepreneurs training, advice and practical tools to make their business plans viable and competitive around the use and management of water resources, promoting their positive impact on the territory. More recently, in 2024, the acceleration offer is extended to agricultural production technologies with Cajamar Innova Agrotech, among which the Robotics, mechanization, agriculture and precision livestock, Agricultural management platforms, new production, biotechnology, circular economy and bioeconomy systems. And, in 2025, it starts Cajamar Innova Foodtech, specifically aimed at initiatives that take advantage of new technologies to transform the way of producing foods such as personalized nutrition, innovative foods, technological innovation in food processing, reduction of food waste, logistics, traceability and safety in the food chain.
After closing the period of reception of candidacies, a maximum of 10 startups will be selected for each of the three acceleration programs: water, ‘agrotech’ and ‘foodtech’, among the proposals that provide disruptive technological solutions with the highest differentiating value in the market and high growth potential.
On the occasion of the opening of this new call, Ricardo García Lorenzo, director of Cajamar Innova, has underlined the purpose of these business impulse programs: “We should ask ourselves why Innovation has created more value in the last 50 years than in the previous 5,000. It may have something to do with created ecosystems and innovative talent. And that is precisely what we want to encourage from Cajamar Innova: innovative talent. “
A unique offer in the Spanish panorama
Cajamar Innova offers a differential model for the promotion of the development of technological innovations throughout the entire agri -food value chain, based on a comprehensive and personalized accompaniment for the design of viable business plans and the development and validation of technological innovations. For this, participants have the support of professionals of the Cajamar innovation ecosystem, which allows them to come into contact with strategic partners of the water field and the reference agri -food sector around the world, and win in visibility by participating in first -level professional meetings and forums. In addition, emerging companies have the possibility of performing pilot trials together with the strategic partners and validation test in their experimental centers in Almería and Valencia, specialized in Mediterranean intensive agriculture, as well as making use of their work and laboratory facilities.
This is a nine -month -old semi -creasid work program divided into two stages (mentorization and pilots/validation test), in which the interaction prevails Online to facilitate access to entrepreneurs regardless of their geographical location. Throughout the process an individual and personalized accompaniment will be carried out to the life cycle in which the beneficiary business project is located, without any cost for entrepreneurs, with a first level methodology and with training provided by reference experts, as well as a subsequent accompaniment.
Fifth call
This is the fifth call for the collection of water projects, the second ‘agrotech’ and the first ‘foodtech’ that opens Cajamar Innova, chosen best Spanish project co -financed with European funds in 2023 by the Ministry of Finance and Public Foundation. Since 2021, by Cajamar’s business acceleration programs 73 entrepreneurial projects have passed Among the more than 500 National and international startups that presented their candidacy. In addition, the activity of Cajamar Innova has encouraged the creation of 210 jobs, and more than 12,000 professionals and students have participated in their transfer and training events throughout Spain.
