The Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration has listed this Saturday the battery of protection measures available for workers, companies and citizens to face the DANA catastrophe.
The organization has detailed that Self-employed workers may request benefits for cessation of activity from their mutual insurance company without a waiting period. That is, even if you do not have the minimum period required to be entitled to it, which is normally twelve months.
Linked to this, the days of benefits consumed are not counted for future situations and, in addition, this period is counted as contributions, while the amount of the benefit is 70% of the regulatory base.
As reported by the ministry, Mutual insurance companies will also reinforce the dissemination of the steps to request the cessation of activity, with the aim of sending this information to the affected self-employed workers in the area.
On the other hand, the ministry has announced that it is in permanent contact with the self-employed groups and social agents to schedule an urgent meeting in the coming days.
On his side, heCompanies can temporarily suspend the employment relationship or reduce the working day, since since the labor reform the legislation was modified to adapt to crisis and emergency situations such as the one that occurs, as the ministry has pointed out.
On this point, companies can request the ERTE (Temporary Employment Regulation File) due to force majeure with 100% exemption from the Social Security contributions of the company and workers; Likewise, any worker can benefit without consuming unemployment benefits.
Regarding the provision of Minimum Vital Income (IMV), it has been announced that the 020 telephone number will be launched on Monday with 40% more staff (the complete telephone number is 900 20 22 22).
However, the ministry has pointed out that some of its offices in the affected area have suffered serious damage, which is why they have reinforced telephone and telematic support.
