Next year, Burgos will host the celebration of the XXVIII National Congress of Family Business, the most important business forum in the country that will bring together more than 650 attendees in the Castilian city, including institutional representatives, experts and leaders of the main national and international family businesses. .
The designation of Burgos as the venue for this important event was announced today by the Family Business Institute (IEF) during the XXVII National Congress that has been held since yesterday in Santander and which was attended by a delegation of Family Business from Castilla y León (EFCL), which will collaborate in the organization of the next edition of the congress.
The announcement was made through a video in which The president of EFCL, Isidoro Alanís, thanks the IEF for the trust placeda in this association for the celebration of the next Congress in Burgos and affirms that the Castilian city “will be an exceptional framework to transmit to the entire society what we are, our values, our principles, our commitments and everything we do and want to continue doing for the progress of Spain”.
In his speech, Alanís remembers that Castilla y León is the cradle of great businessmen“hard-working, noble and honest people, many of them being a reference in Spain and Latin America” and assures that “it is a privilege to welcome back to our land the representatives of the main family businesses in our country, which you are, without place undoubtedly and among many other things, the true pillar of the Welfare State”.
The president of the Government of Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, also wanted to extend his welcome to those attending the XXVIII Congress, stating that “it will be a real pleasure to welcome you in Burgos.” “Thank you for choosing our land, for continuing to generate wealth and employment and above all for your commitment to our Community,” he adds in his message.

Organized by the IEEF in collaboration with the Cantabrian Association of Family Businesses (ACEFAM) and sponsored by Banco Santander and KPMG, the XVII National Congress of Family Businesses took place at the Santander Exhibition and Congress Palace under the motto “We are Future”, which wanted to highlight the commitment that family businesses have to building the future, as an essential part of the modernization, progress and prosperity of the country.
