British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak promised on Saturday to continue providing military support to Ukraine.
“We will continue to support Ukraine with weapons, including air defense systems,” Sunak said, during an unannounced visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, since taking office.
He added, “The air defense systems that Ukraine will receive will confront the marches.”
“We will work to rebuild power stations and hospitals, and we will provide new military support to Ukraine,” he said, stressing, “We are working to achieve a just peace in Ukraine.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released a video today, Saturday, of his meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in Kyiv.
“During today’s meeting, we discussed the most important issues for our countries and global security,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
“Since the first days, Ukraine and the United Kingdom have been the strongest allies,” Zelensky said in his post, accompanying the post with a video clip of his meeting with Sunak.
