Britain | Prince William returns to diplomatic duties after the king's cancer diagnosis

Prince William will return to her royal duties on Wednesday. William had recently temporarily stepped back from public duties while he helped his wife CatherinePrincess of Wales, to recover from stomach surgery.

The cancer was discovered when the king received treatment for his enlarged prostate. Charles has postponed his public appearances due to the diagnosis, but will continue in his constitutional role as head of state.

Britain's public broadcasting company the BBC according to William will return to representative duties without Catherine, who will continue her sick leave.

On Wednesday, William is scheduled to attend a ceremony at Windsor Castle and a fundraising gala in London.

William is also believed to be taking over some of his father's work. Other royals have also done so, including William's aunt, the princess Anne.

41-year-old William is the first in the line of succession to the crown.
