The 21-year-old young man of Italian origins has been arrested for the murder of the French girl found dead in a small village in Aostaa
The young Italian suspected of the murder of the French girl killed in an abandoned church in the Aosta Valley was arrested in Lyon. The 21-year-old, with no criminal record, was banned from coming into contact with the young woman due to some reports of abuse and beatings and had been wanted since March for violation of judicial control.
According to what was also reported by the program Chi l'ha visto, the boy was due to appear in court in France in recent days, a country where he had already been reported. He couldn't even be with the girl who he had therefore already mistreated in the past.
According to the French authorities, the 22 years old Frenchwoman, resident in Saint-Priest, in the province of Lyon, was killed with a knife. The cause of her death ascertained by the medical examiner Roberto Testi is the bleeding caused by the wounds at the base of her neck. The alleged date of the crime dates back to the end of March, early April. The most credible hypotheses are those that imagine an argument that ended badly, without a real intention of murder on the part of the 21-year-old of Italian-Egyptian origins.
The body was found inside the small church of La Salle Equivalence, where a few days earlier a witness had noticed the two boys, both still alive. The couple had crossed the border on March 25th. They were touring Europe, but it is not yet clear whether they left together or found themselves at a campsite. The young man had been under judicial supervision since January 13 following complaints of domestic violence and intimidation. The trial against him was scheduled for May 3, 2024, but he was arrested before he could appear before the Grenoble criminal court.
The girl was recognized by some relatives who arrived in Valle D'Aosta and her identity was made official by medical examiners in the mortuary of the cemetery of the Aosta capital.
The Italian and French judicial authorities have opened two investigations into homocide and they are working together to shed light on this heinous crime. The local community has been shaken by the tragedy and expects justice to take its course.
