Less than 24 hours before the inauguration of the president-elect, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), Brasilia is getting ready for the event, scheduled for Sunday (Jan 1, 2023). The central region of the federal capital, mainly around the hotel where the PT member is staying, even has a look-alike using the “presidential sash”.
Because of the intense flow of PT supporters who are in Brasília for the inauguration, street vendors sell flags of Brazil, the PT and t-shirts with Lula’s face. The expectation of the future first lady and inauguration coordinator, Rosângela Silva, Janja, is an audience of 300,000 people on Sunday.
