HRC test rider Stefan Bradl shared the Jerez track last Friday with Xavi Vierge and Iker Lecuona, the two factory Honda riders in World Superbike. His bike was then sent to Malaysia, where the shakedown began today, the test session in which only test riders and riders making their MotoGP debut can participate.
At Honda, however, they do not expect the RC213V 2022 that Bradl drove in Andalusia to arrive in time for the last two days of this first shakedown. However, the former Moto2 world champion is expected to hit the track from Tuesday, with bikes that on paper belong to Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro, who will instead be on the saddle on Saturday and Sunday in the two days of collective testing.
The forecast is that the bike used by Bradl in Jerez will arrive later this week, so that it can be available on those two days. In principle, the German should not join Espargaro and Marquez over the weekend, although a change of plans cannot be ruled out, depending on the sensations the riders will get in the saddle.
We must not forget that Marquez will make his debut on Saturday with the latest version of the bike scheduled for 2022, given that the Catalan, who had tested a first version at Misano, missed the November tests in Jerez due to an injury. which had caused him a problem of diplopia (double vision), already accused in 2011 following an accident in Moto2. Problem that has now fortunately solved.
