New agreement
Immediately after the Imola race Charles Leclerc was keen to publicly underline his great appreciation for the work done by his new race engineer Bryan Bozzi – who took over from Xavier Marcos – and also the new performance engineer, Johannes Hatzwhich in turn filled the space left vacant by Bozzi.
What struck the experts in the Imola race was the great ease of communication which seems to have immediately established itself between Bozzi and Leclerc. Something that perhaps wasn’t so evident and clear with Marcos and that revealed – at least from the outside – something less effectiveness in the fundamental exchange of information between drivers and the pit wall.
Cheering radio team
The official Formula 1 channel also noticed the harmony between the Monegasque and his new race engineer and created a video – published on social media – in which they were collected all the encouragement transmitted via radio from Bozzi to his pilot.
The most striking aspect, listening to communications, is how Bozzi underlines the good work that Leclerc is doing after practically every indication he gives him. A kind of Constant positive ‘mantra’ which seems to have been appreciated by the Ferrari driver, who came third in the Imola event. The same red #16 on the radio after the race immediately underlined Bozzi’s good debut in the new role with an eloquent “you did super well“. A further positive turning point in this period of revolution and constant search for growth within the Ferrari team.
