Borussia Dortmund is in a state of ‘shock’, after one of his players, Franco-Ivorian Sébastien Haller, was found to have a testicular tumor.

Haller, who plays as a striker for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga and for the Ivory Coast soccer team, presented abnormalities in his state of health in full practice, so he had to leave the training camp in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, early.

The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international, recently signed by the German club, complained of not feeling well after training on Monday morning.

In the course of intensive medical examinations, a tumor in the testicles was finally discovered. During the next few days, new tests will be carried out at a specialized medical center, according to the club.

“Today’s news came as a shock to Sebastien Haller and to all of us. The entire BVB family wishes Sebastien a full recovery as soon as possible and that we can hug him again soon. We will do everything in our power to make sure that he gets the best treatment possible,” says BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
