Five years have passed since the arrival of Borderlands 3 and, although in the meantime many DLCs for the shooter have been released and even a spin-off has been released (Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands), fans of the saga can’t wait to find out when there will be space for a actual sequel.
Everyone knows that Gearbox is working on Borderlands 4considering the value of the series, but now the official confirmation from the CEO has arrived.
Gearbox CEO’s Words on Borderlands 4
During an interview with the Epic Games Store, at Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford was asked specifically if the company was working on the sequel. Pitchford responded, “Of course we are. There’s a point where we’re ready and we can and we want to announce something because it’s time to make a public promise. We’re working on a lot of Borderlands. We’re working on a lot of Brothers in Arms.”
The reference to Brothers in Arms is not new, let’s be clear, since the company had confirmed that it was working on a game in the saga since 2021. Even Borderland 4 had actually already been commented on by Pitchfordbut still less directly than this statement, with sentences that alluded to making it clear what he wanted to say but without it being possible to actually state that the CEO had confirmed the new game. Now instead his statement is much more explicit and direct.
Hopefully Borderlands 4 was better received than the movie, since the film was trashed by all reviews on RottenTomatoes except for a single strange rating.
