The route of the ducks’ journey begins when the cold begins to be felt in the north of Sinaloa, and their arrival is to fulfill the promise of mating when they arrive on the island they have taken as their own, so much so that fishermen and visitors They already know the island as that of the bobo ducks or blue feet. The male of the species performs the mating process, so he uses his legs as one of his main attractions to perform a dance, a ritual to attract the attention of the female, they are the ones who choose the males that have the legs with the brightest colors.

The intense blue color of its legs is one of its main characteristics, and this pigmentation comes from the carotenoids that come from its diet.

The islands of the Santa María bay, a unique and natural landscape, have approximately 80 kilometers of coastline that run through the lagoon systems, the island and the bay of Playa Colorada, the islands with the greatest knowledge of the population of Évora are El Médano Blanco , El Perihuete, El Guadarón, Bellavista, and among those that are little visited and that are in their natural state is the Isla del Amor, La Guásima and La Isla del Rancho, spaces whose beauty is within reach of the hand of your visitors.
