Filming of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever of Marvel Studios were temporarily discontinued due to an injury suffered by actress Letitia Wright.
The actress had suffered this injury in August but the production had communicated that the thing it wouldn’t affect the continuation of filming, but in the meantime the director Ryan Coogler has finished shooting all the sequences where Letitia Witght was not present, who remained in London.
Consequentially production will stop starting in Thanksgiving week and will resume early 2022. Representatives of the actress stated the following:

Letitia Wright first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Panther as Shuri, T’Challa’s brilliant younger sister, played by the late Chadwick Boseman. Not much is known about the plot of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but it is assumed that Shuri may take on a more important role after Boseman’s death, and that may explain the importance of his presence on the set and the postponement of production.
Other cast members of the film Black Panther, like Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba and Angela Bassett, are expected to return in this sequel.
Colleagues from Variety they also exclusively revealed that Michaela Coel has joined the cast in an unknown role. Additionally, it was revealed that Dominique Thorne, who will play Ironheart in his Disney + TV series, will be introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever before his television debut.
