In a speech on developments in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden emphasized that Putin had adopted the logic of force to control Ukrainian lands.
He stressed that the “Russian invasion” against Ukraine requires a decisive response from the international community, stressing that Putin has already begun the process of invasion of Ukraine.
Biden vowed to impose sanctions on Russia, noting that the United States will impose sanctions on the Russian elite and their families, stressing that the first package of sanctions against Russia begins now, and that the United States has imposed harsh sanctions on two Russian banks already.
Baidet warned Moscow: “Russia will pay a heavy price if it continues its behaviour.”
Biden stressed that “the sanctions will isolate Russia from the Western financial system.”
On the other hand, he stressed that Washington will continue to provide defense aid to Ukraine.
Militarily, Biden said he gave the green light for the redeployment of US forces to the Baltic states.
“We will defend every inch of NATO territory,” Biden said.
