“Better Call Saul” managed to get a complete plot out of a simple “Breaking Bad” line. In addition, from that same dialogue he managed to build one of the best characters in the Albuquerque universe who, after his shocking and tragic 6×7 chapter, is more relevant than ever. Who is it and why does it arouse so much mystery?
The final season of the Netflix and AMC series will return in July for its second part and will conclude the creation of Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould after six seasons.

But before the fans know what happened to the couple of lawyers formed by Saul Goodman and Kim Wexlerthere is another character that is closely related to said unknown: Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton).
A thin and dangerous line
When Jesse and Walter White capture Saul Goodman to try to extort money from him (unsuccessfully), the desperate lawyer thinks his kidnappers are sent by a member of the Mexican cartel: “Lalo didn’t send them?”.

As seen in the scene, the protagonists of “Breaking Bad” do not understand what he means. “Oh thank God! O Christ! I thought that…” Goodman replies without finishing his sentence.
But why is this so important and mysterious? If you have seen “Better Call Saul”, you will know that this “Lalo” that Saul mentions ends up appearing in the series as his lawyer, making him a “friend of the cartel”.

Kim and Lalo: two loose ends
Fast-forwarding to 6×7 in the series, the two biggest unknowns are: Will Lalo Salamanca die or is he still alive in the times of “Breaking Bad”? Will this character do something to Kim Wexler?

Based on Saul’s words in the future: “Lalo didn’t send them?” and considering the last seen in “Better Call Saul”, where Lalo is at war with Gustavo Fring, two scenarios can be theorized.
First. Lalo Salamanca ran away and secretly stayed alive until the “Breaking Bad” era. Second, Lalo died, but Saul never knew about this, so he still believes that he is alive somewhere in New Mexico.
