One of the more interesting newcomers at the last EICMA was the Benelli TRK 800. So the 502 gets a big brother, with a block that was plucked from the Leoncino 800.
That means a 754cc twin delivering 76.2 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm, double overhead camshafts, 43mm throttle bodies, four valves per cylinder and a six-speed slipper clutch.
The design of the TRK 800 clearly remained within the family, with extra attention, according to Benelli, being paid to comfort (for both rider and passenger) and protection from the elements. Sounds believable when we look at the photos, although we still prefer to test things like that ourselves.
The brakes were shopped at Brembo: twin 320mm with four-piston calipers at the front, 260mm single-piston disc at the rear. We also see an adjustable Marzocchi 50mm upside-down with 170mm of travel at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear, LED lighting and a 7” TFT color display. Tank capacity is 21 liters.
The TRK 800 would be at the dealer from mid-2022, the price is not yet known.
