The first thing you commented Inaba was ‘I understand it’s a hot topic right now and it’s really starting to gain momentum, but the way it’s gained it is focused on the profitability of the company…’.
He went on to say ‘[…]but without any positive impact on the creators or users in any way. So it’s frustrating to see [está] going’. Concerned, he pointed out that there is a negative trend in this regard.
Atsushi Inaba highlighted ‘people trying to promote NFTs and partner with game companies seem extremely one-sided in their conversations’.
To the above, he added “Hey, you’re going to make money!” But how does that benefit the user or the creator? If I want to spend my time on something, I want it to benefit from making good games.. As can be seen the company behind Bayonetta is not convinced of how they take advantage of the NFT.
PlatinumGames sees that NFTs, as a concept, may gain importance
Inaba also highlighted ‘as content becomes more and more digital, i think nft as a concept will gain more prominence, but i think early adopters see it as a way to get as much profit as possible’.
He finished by saying ‘that’s not something i’m interested in being a part of, to be honest’. Hideki Kamiya he was more direct, accusing a well-known company of profiting from the concept.
‘If it smells like money, Konami will be there in a heartbeat!’, he highlighted. Then she opened up saying ‘Honestly, I have no interest in this topic’.
also added ‘I think what Inaba-san just said really resonated with me because I consider myself a user at heart, rather than a businessman’.

The father of Bayonetta concluded with ‘but I’m not seeing that at the moment’. It seems like platinumgames will concentrate on the games and not on NFT in the future.
