The technical issues of Battlefield 2042 forced EA and DICE to postpone Season 1.
HE SAYS has postponed the start of the first season of Battlefield 2042 until'”early summer“.
After a difficult launch, the studio is busy responding to player feedback and implementing several fixes. An update is scheduled for early March and will include improvements to the scoreboards, but subsequent necessary updates have forced the postponement of the first season.
The updates will improve various aspects of Battlefield 2042from voice communication to rewards, through to the improvement of Portal.
The decision to move the start of Season 1 will not appeal to those players who have purchased the Year 1 Pass as part of the Gold and Ultimate Editions. These players will receive an exclusive pack in the next update containing a specialist skin, weapon and vehicle skins, a melee weapon and a Player Card.
Dice is also planning an improved player feedback process: “knowing your progress feedback is key“.
“We are committed to ensuring Battlefield 2042 lives up to our ambitions and expectations – that’s a task we want to accomplish.“, reads a statement.
