Jyväskylä’s Kirittäret returned as Finnish women’s baseball champion after a year’s break.
Close the outdoor game made Kirittäret from Jyväskylä the Finnish women’s baseball champion. Kirittäret defeated Manse PP from Tampere in the fourth final match 1–0 (1–0, 1–1) and won the championship 3–1.
Kirittäret returned as women’s Superpesis champion after a year’s break. Manse PP turned last year’s bronze into silver.
“One run for Manse. The away game was concrete at the end,” said Kirittärien’s game manager Mattias Kitola In Ruuttu’s TV interview.
Kirittäret got to celebrate the championship on their home field at Hippos, which will be renovated after the final.
The winning team both runs batted in Emma Körkkö. He and another experienced player Susanne Ojaniemi have ended their careers for this season.
Manse PP tied the second period at 1–1 in the fourth inning Anna Lower-Kauhaluoman batting, but one run was not enough to win the entire match.
“This was caught in the inner game. Feeling really disappointed”, Mansen assessed Henna Field fabric Ruutu’s TV interview. Peltokangas also ends his career in the main league.
