In the world of cinema there are few directors who have managed to stand out and whose origin is Mexican, and precisely, one of them is Alexander Gonzalez Inarrituwho directed neither more nor less than the revenant. And now, to continue its successes, the first trailer for Bard, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, the filmmaker’s new project.
Written by Inarritu Y Nicholas Giacobone, the tape is presented as a nostalgic comedy that is opposed to a personal trip. It tells the story of a renowned Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker who returns home and works through an existential crisis as he grapples with his identity, family relationships, the madness of his memories, and his country’s past.

As for the cast of the film, the Mexican actor Daniel Gimenez Cacho interprets Silverio Range. Also included is Griselda Siciliani, Ximena Lamadrid and Iker Solano and has production design of Eugene Knight (Rome, Pan’s Labyrinth) and costume design for Anna Terraces (The Deuce, Rome).
Bardo opens in theaters in Mexico on October 27followed by a theatrical release limited to USA, Spain and Argentina on November 4 before launching November 18th. For its part, it reaches Netflix on December 16.
