Due to the great importance it has at the national level, the Banorte bank has warned its hundreds of thousands of clients throughout the Mexican national territory about the frauds that have been detected.
It was through its official social media accounts where Banorte bank alerted its account holders about scams that consist of calls, messages or emails in which customers are asked to pay for their bank cards or insurance in links that redirect to web pages of dubious origin.

According to the details published in the official account of the social network X of the Banorte bank, it has been detected that scammers They ask account holders, through different contact channels, to pay their credits or insurance on unofficial web portals of the financial institution..
“Don’t be fooled! To carry out procedures or payments, go to our official channels: Branches, Banorte Móvil or Online Bank,” can be read in the post published on the aforementioned virtual platform.
In this sense, the banking entity made it clear that all clients who have credits and insurance of any kind must make payments or any other procedure related to them through Banorte’s official channels.
“Remember that Banorte will never contact you to make any payment to your credits or insurance through links sent by email or text message,” the publication states.

Finally, according to Banorte’s official website, the following are the actions implemented by the financial institution in Mexico to take care of the security of its clients:
*3D Secure: It is a security protocol that aims to prevent fraud in your purchases, through a key issued by electronic commerce, which you receive on your cell phone to authorize the operation. Also use biometric data to authenticate the customer: Facial in banking apps, fingerprint in branches, voice in contact centers.
*PCI-DSS: are a set of security practices that must be applied by those companies that process, transmit or store payment card information in order to guarantee the security of the information. *Digital Card: You generate it from Banorte Móvil, it protects the frequent purchases and payments you make online, its dynamic CVV keeps your information safe.
*Reference for ATM withdrawal without plastic: generate a reference from Banorte Móvil and withdraw cash without having to carry your plastic. The reference is for a maximum of $9,000 pesos and is valid until 9:00 p.m. the next day.
Clarification of unrecognized charges: without having to go to the branch, from Banorte Móvil you can raise a clarification. In a period of 24 to 48 hours you receive the opinion.
