According to some rumors, it seems that the publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment is the victim of an attack by cybercriminals. According to a group that collects information on cybercrime, the publisher of ELDEN RING would be the victim of a ransomware-type attack.
Not much is known about this alleged attack, nor about its veracity. Data and resources may have been encrypted or blocked, criminals may have demanded a ransom as happened not so long ago with TOEI Animation.
At the moment BANDAI NAMCO has not yet commented on it.
ALPHV ransomware group (alternatively referred to as BlackCat ransomware group) claims to have ransomed Bandai Namco.
