Today Pecco starts in the second row
In the Sprint at Mugello Francesco Bagnaia he started in second position, immediately overtaking Jorge Martin and taking the lead and never relinquishing it until the checkered flag. Today however, as a result of the three-place penalty to be served for having obstructed Alex Marquez in practice, Bagnaia will start on the second row from fifth position on the starting grid.
First and foremost, Bagnaia’s setback will benefit Marc Marquez, who will be promoted to the front row together with Jorge Martin and Maverick Vinales. Enea Bastianini, on the other hand, will be fifth to open the second row with Francesco Bagnaia and Franco Morbidelli completing it.
Marc Marquez declared that this weekend he is having some difficulties at the start after never having had any in the last few races where he has always managed to recover from the middle of the group. Today in any case he will be able to compensate for these problems with the start without riders in front of him. After the race Bagnaia declared that a start like yesterday’s could be enough to arrive at San Donato ahead of everyone: “The penalty changes the situation a bit – the words of the two-time world champion – but I have to get another start like that of the Sprint, which it could still put me in first position at the first corner“.
