Unreadable weather in Misano
The San Marino Grand Prix of the MotoGP class was animated by a downpour of rain which prompted Jorge Martin to head to the pits to change bikes and jump on the one equipped with rain tires. Francesco Bagnaia, who was the leader of the race, instead continued as did all the riders who were in the top 10, Martin was not the only one to change bikes, but he was followed only by riders who had nothing to lose.
The rain was undoubtedly a great ally of Marc Márquez to quickly take the lead of the race, thus making up for the fall in Qualifying that had forced him to settle for a start from the third row. Bagnaia also managed the situation very well, never falling below the second place he maintained until the checkered flag.
The two-time world champion and reigning champion then joked about the team manager’s predictions in the press conference Davide Tardozzi before departure. “He said it wasn’t going to rain, so I was sure it was going to rain a little bit instead.”said Bagnaia. “So next year I don’t have to believe what Davide says”Marquez’s observation to which Bagnaia responded as follows: “You should never trust Tardozzi.”
